About Us:
- Imran Cricket Academy is a leading cricket coaching institute in Hong Kong, China & Macau
- Our professionally qualified coaches and staff are committed to developing cricket for all age groups
- We started in April 2006 with just 2 children, and now we have around 250 kids and 40 adults playing regularly with the total of over 400 playing and non-playing members and supporters
- Our growth rate in a short period of time has been tremendous. We currently operate 5 private cricket coaching camps and coaching at several major international schools in Hong Kong and Macau
- Our success is built on a foundation of being able to provide high quality cricket coaching by professionals
Our mission:
- To bring young talent into the system and help them to develop their cricketing skills, physical fitness and mental preparation i.e. game planning, match tactics and winning ways
- To promote cricket throughout the community and help Institutes, clubs and associations to produce future cricketers (who can hopefully go on to represent Hong Kong at national and international level)
- To imbue the spirit of the game in every developing cricket player
- To protect our youth and young generation from the worst of today's influences by providing them with a platform where they can play more sports, learn more skills, all of which provides a healthy base and incentive for their future
Why start them so young?
- It is essential to have constructive coaching at a young age (even as young as 5 years old)
to give players the basic knowledge and a sound platform for the future - We aim to identify and develop each individual's strengths and weaknesses, and then provide appropriate
coaching and assistance at an early age - Identified correctly and early, weaknesses can be developed into strengths,
and these strengths an become consistent habits - As cricket is recognized as a gentlemen's sport, it is ideal for our children to be exposed
to the game from a young age where they can learn to play within the spirit of the game, and understand that it is important to show respect to team-mates, opponents and officials
