About Imran Cricket Academy

Imran Cricket Academy has been set up to provide a centre of excellence for both theoretical and practical cricket education. The Academy started out in April 2006 with just 2 children attending our first session, within a few weeks this had become a regular daily camp with 8 to 12 children participating.  This development has continued with many kids joining both as players and non-playing members. We currently have around 100 children and 30 adults playing cricket under our Academy banner and have regular coaching camps on a daily basis all year round as well as special camps for Chinese New Year, Christmas, Summer, Easter etc.

We have a membership of around 200 including playing members, non-playing members and highly influential supporters. We are very keen to bring young talent into the system and help them to develop their cricketing skills as well as physical fitness and mental preparation to help them to achieve their ultimate goals. It is essential to have constructive coaching from as young as 5 years of age to give players the basic knowledge and strengthen their base for the future. We aim to develop students' different strengths by providing appropriate coaching and assistance at an early age. We can then develop any weaknesses into strengths and these strengths can become consistent habits.

Our most important goal has been to offer our young generation a healthy way of  life and help them cope with Hong Kong’s stressful life and unhealthy habits. We aim to introduce them to the sport and provide them with achievable goals in life all in a fun learning environment. We strongly believe that our coaching sessions should be tailored according to players needs and requirements, allowing them to develop better skills as quickly as possible. We are very aware that players need good coaching to take this step forward and to achieve their ultimate goals.  We are confident that the Academy will prosper in years to come and we will continue to build on our reputation as the leading sports training academy in Hong Kong and Macau.

We look forward to working with our existing members and welcoming new ones in the coming season and will continue to use innovative and sound coaching techniques to produce happy and succesful cricketers.
